Partner Michael Robinson opened discussions at a Brexit Event in Law Society House

An event hosted by the Law Society of Northern Ireland in conjunction with the Irish Centre for European Law (ICEL)  and attended by more than 120 legal professionals and academics discussed a prospective British exit (Brexit) from the European Union (EU).

The conference addressed the implications of Brexit and what the possible impact could be on Northern Ireland's economy, legal profession, citizen's lives and the issues around human rights.

Michael Robinson discusses Enduring Power of Attorney on Radio Ulster

 

On 20 February CMG Cunningham Dickey Partner Michael Robinson was a guest on the BBC Radio Ulster programme "On Your Behalf". Michael was representing the Law Society. The host was Linda McAuley and the other guests were form Macmillan Cancer and Age Sector Platform Northern Ireland.

CMG Cunningham Dickey Solicitors is expanding its Belfast office

CMG Cunningham Dickey Solicitors has completed a refurbishment of its May Street office in Belfast in an investment worth over £500,000. The investment was part funded by Danske Bank.

The legal firm currently employs 16 people and will create another five jobs in the coming months. 

The business was formed when long-established Belfast and Bangor firms Carnson Morrow Graham Solicitors and Cunningham and Dickey Solicitors merged in June 2015.

Solicitors firms CMG and Cunningham and Dickey have merged

As reported in the media two long established Belfast-based legal firms, CMG and Cunningham and Dickey, have announced that they merged on 1 June 2015.
The Belfast office of CMG Cunningham Dickey will be based in their May Street premises while its office in Bangor, County Down, will remain in Market Street.
Two of the three partners, Brian Speers and Michael Robinson, are recent former presidents of the Law Society of Northern Ireland.
